Getting Started with Dreamweaver Templates Editing Templates: For
most changes, editing a template is like editing any page in a
site. You add, delete, or modify the content of the template. Editing
a template differs from editing other pages because you can define
new editable regions, or lock editable regions. More.. Editable Regions: A
template has two types of regions: editable and locked (noneditable).
Editable regions are the sections of a template that have changing
content, such as an article in a newsletter. Locked regions are
the sections of a template that have static, unchanging content,
such as a corporate logo or a standard site navigation bar. More.. Working with Links: When you link
to other pages or insert elements (such as images) on your page,
Dreamweaver creates a path in the HTML source code of your document
so that a browser displaying your page can find the appropriate files. More.. Cascading Style Sheets: Cascading
Style Sheets (or CSS styles) are collections of formatting definitions
that affect the appearance of web page elements. You can use CSS
styles to format text, images, headings, tables, and so forth. With
a single style you can pre-designate the color and alignment properties
of an element for an entire document. For example, you could apply
a style that turns all text to blue and right-aligned. More.. Need More Help? If you need additional help please contact me at karen@alteredimpressions.com or visit my Dreamweaver Support Center |
