Using optional regions
This page is based on a template that has an optional region. An optional region is a region in a template that users can set to show or to hide in a template-based document. You can use an optional region when you want to set conditions for displaying content in a document. The table above with the Welcome text is an optional region and is set to show on this
page. If you view the subpage.htm you will see that this region is set to not show
To modify optional region template parameters:
- Select Modify > Template Properties.
The Template Properties dialog box opens, showing a list of available properties. The dialog box shows optional regions and editable tag attributes.
- In the Name list, select "OptionalRegion".
- Select the Show checkbox, to show the optional region in the document, or deselect the checkbox to hide it.
